A viral challenge for a challenging virus – everyone can get involved!

What: A viral (the good viral) challenge to raise money towards ending rabies

When: 26 April 2020 (or any time before that)

How: Raise funds by doing activities based on the numbers 2.6 or 26.

What exactly is the 2.6 Challenge? It is a fundraiser to help charities continue their great work during the COVID-19 pandemic. We understand that COVID-19 has put a strain on the global community and unfortunately, the same applies to charities. GARC is no exception.  As a result, we are calling on the global community to join together and support us, to ensure that we can continue to work together towards global rabies elimination.

Help to save children and animals by joining the 2.6 challenge

The 2.6 Challenge will launch on Sunday 26 April – the intended date for the 40th London Marathon; the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event.
We’re asking you to take part in an activity of your choice based upon the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to support GARC via our TwoPointSixChallenge fundraising page.

People of all ages are taking on the 2.6 Challenge through a host of activities – from walking, running or cycling 2.6 miles, juggling for 2.6 minutes, to hosting online workouts for 26 friends. The ideas and options are endless!
The only requirement is that you must follow Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing. Most people are taking part from Sunday 26 April, but you can do your activity whenever is most convenient for you.

Some inspiration

This challenge has been designed for absolutely anyone to take part in! You can run 2.6kms, skip for 26 minutes or swim 26 laps of a pool. Remember to share your efforts with us and remember to contribute to our fundraising page.
