Zero by 30: Our catalytic response
United Against Rabies Collaboration
The Call for Action
Until now, rabies elimination efforts have been fragmented across sectors and regions. In 2015, the world called for action by setting a global goal of zero human dog-mediated rabies deaths by 2030, worldwide.
WHO, OIE, FAO and GARC are united to deliver a comprehensive, Strategic Plan to reach “Zero by 30”. We developed the Plan in consultation with relevant global, regional and country stakeholders.
It provides a coordinated foundation for rabies prevention, integrated with human and veterinary health system strengthening to reach the world’s most underserved populations. This aligns with Sustainable Development Goals.
How We Will Reach Zero by 30
The Theory of Change outlines the societal changes needed to reach our goal. These changes aim to save costs, lives, and provide a means to validate rabies elimination in countries and regions.
Engage With Us
Our multi-stakeholder platform engages countries and experts to advance towards Zero by 30. We are creating an enabling environment for change.
