Rescue P.A.W.S. Outreach work

This year, in celebration of World Rabies Day and in alignment with the 2024 theme, "Breaking Boundaries," we at Rescue P.A.W.S. have taken significant steps to enhance our impact. To commemorate this important day, we collaborated with the local government to host two major sterilization events, providing free rabies vaccinations as part of our everyday services at the clinic. These events play a crucial role in our mission to reduce the stray animal population and curb the spread of rabies, ensuring a safer environment for both animals and our community.

In addition to these special events, we continued our regular schedule of sterilizations and vaccinations at the clinic, reaffirming our commitment to animal welfare. To mark this occasion, we’ve set an ambitious goal for the month: 400 + rabies vaccinations and sterilizations. Every vaccination and sterilization we perform is a step toward breaking the boundaries in our fight against rabies.

Education has also been a central focus of our Rabies Day celebrations this year. We have developed a comprehensive rabies prevention curriculum that emphasizes responsible pet ownership, vaccination, and humane animal care. We’re thrilled to share that this curriculum is being distributed throughout Thailand and Southeast Asia. By educating communities, we’re not just addressing the immediate issues; we’re laying the groundwork for long-term prevention.

Our approach is rooted in the belief that we can break boundaries through the "One Health" philosophy, which recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. By collaborating with local authorities, schools, and community leaders, we’re ensuring that rabies prevention is integrated into broader public health initiatives. Our commitment aligns with the global goal of zero human deaths from dog-mediated rabies by 2030.

Through our efforts in vaccinations, sterilizations, and education, Rescue P.A.W.S. proudly contributes to the celebration of World Rabies Day and the ongoing fight against rabies in Thailand. Together with our community, we’re breaking boundaries to create a safer future for both people and animals.
