Mass Vaccination Program at Chennai

HCL Foundation delivers the corporate social responsibility agenda of HCLTech in India through its flagship programmes and special initiatives. As a not-for-profit organization, it strives to contribute towards national and international development goals, bringing about positive impact in the lives of people through long-term sustainable programmes.

Harit by HCL Foundation - the climate action flagship programme is being implemented with the vision 'to conserve, restore and enhance indigenous environmental systems and respond to climate change in a sustainable manner through community engagement'.

Harit, under its Animal Welfare theme, plans to improve and sustain a positive human-animal relationship while focusing on both short term (stress reduction) and long-term (stress resilience) efforts directed towards animals. We are establishing a state-of-the-art Animal Birth Control (ABC) - Anti Rabies Vaccination (ARV) with an objective of upholding positive human-animals relation.

For the World Rabies Day, HCL Foundation in collaboration with its NGO partners is organizing a weeklong campaign aiming to vaccinate 3000+ dogs across key districts including Gautam Budh Nagar, Chandrapur, Rural Bengaluru, Coimbatore and major districts in Chennai. In addition to mass vaccination, we will also be focusing on local community outreach engaging 3800+ people through Volunteer engagement, street play & student outreach programs to raise awareness about animal welfare, responsible pet ownership and importance of vaccination to prevent rabies and other zoonotic disease.

Through this initiative, HCL Foundation aims to foster healthy relationship between Communities and their canine population.
