For World Rabies Day 2024, FOUR PAWS are supporting Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) on a number of events to raise awareness and educate the public about rabies.

Animal Care and Treatment Health Day

BAWA will provide a number of services for local stray and owned dogs and cats, including sterilization, rabies vaccination, and other essential animal treatments, in addition to providing helpful information regarding responsible pet ownership for the community.

Rabies and Animal Welfare Workshop

Location: Museum Batur Geopark

With an emphasis on unity and cross-sector collaboration, this workshop will engage local stakeholder in Bangli, including representatives from the Department of Agriculture, Department of Health, Department of Tourism, Civil Service Police Unit, Department of Communication and Information Technology, Department of Education, and others. Discussions will include the roadmap on rabies eradication in Bali and how animal welfare can influence Bali's tourism image.

School Education: Educating Future Leaders for a Rabies-Free World
