What rabies elimination work do you do?
Since 2023, Daisy has been part of the Rabies Project under Mara North Conservancy in Kenya, where she focuses on education, awareness, and community engagement to protect vulnerable rural communities from rabies. She pioneered school-based rabies education across Narok and Bomet counties, introduced innovative methods like pre- and post-assessments, storytelling, and theatre, and supported vaccination campaigns that link knowledge with action. By training young volunteers, using local languages, and sharing children’s reflections online, she has helped shift community perceptions, mobilize local leaders, and strengthen Kenya’s progress toward eliminating rabies by 2030.
