What rabies elimination work do you do?
Saint Jerome’s Veterinary Clinic Zaria (SJVCZ) provides accessible veterinary care for dog and cat owners, ensuring high-quality vaccinations, sterilization services, and public education on rabies prevention. In collaboration with the War Against Rabies Foundation, the clinic organizes free vaccination drives during World Rabies Day, conducts awareness campaigns in schools and communities, and trains interns from veterinary and related disciplines. Under the leadership of Dr. Jerome Okpanachi, SJVCZ also partners with local health facilities to strengthen rabies control through One Health collaboration, aiming for a rabies-free Zaria by 2030.
