Hello. I am Dr. Korampalli Venkatesh, a veterinarian from India. I completed my Master’s degree (M.V.Sc) in Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology. I have a keen interest in rabies elimination in India.
With a passion for rabies control, I started conducting free online webinars for the public titled “Rabies: What You Need to Know to Stay Safe.” In these sessions, I explain in detail the history, etiology, transmission, pathology, and vaccination updates (both pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis) related to rabies. I also address and clarify many common myths about the disease.
I have received very positive feedback after these sessions, which has motivated me to continue conducting such webinars to educate the public about rabies and promote its elimination from local communities.
These free webinars will be conducted throughout the year as part of an ongoing public awareness initiative on rabies prevention and control.
