Two kids holding their dogs take a photo in Makululu at Indeni Grounds, the venue of the mass vaccination

The event took place on September 27th, 2025, in Makululu Township, Kabwe District, Central Province— the largest township in Zambia. The occasion focused on educating dog owners about responsible pet care and included rabies vaccinations for the dogs. His Worship, the Mayor of Kabwe, Mr. Patrick Chishala, graced the event, alongside Ward Councillors. A total of 417 dogs were vaccinated on this day. The initiative was sponsored by Action Auto Limited Zambia, the official dealership for Isuzu vehicles in the country. Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, the company donated 2,500 doses of rabies vaccine, along with needles, syringes, cotton wool, and fuel. Action Auto Limited has been supporting mass rabies vaccination campaigns in Kabwe District since 2021. Vaccination data was recorded using the Rabies Vaccination Tracker (RVT) developed by the Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC).
