The 2nd annual Ga Mampa vaccination campaign was a collaboration between University of Pretoria (UP) Centre for Viral Zoonoses (CVZ), UP Small Animal Medicine Outpatient Clinic (SAMOC), Limpopo Department of Agricultural and Rural Development (LDARD), and AfriVet Training Services (ATS), and Ga Mampa Animal Health Care Workers. Prior to the campaign, awareness was created by word of mouth and distribution of digital flyers, written in Sepedi, via Whatsapp. The local schools were also told so that learners can spread the message to parents at home. Educational material was also distributed at the local school to create awareness on rabies and responsible ownership of dogs and cats.
