Free Anti-Rabies Vaccination and Neutering Campaign at Teshie

As part of the IVSA-CEVA grant project, International Veterinary Students’ Association-Accra (IVSA Accra) will embark on a free-anti rabies vaccination and neutering campaign in Teshie. The project is centered on improving animals welfare in Ghana.  Our efforts are tailored  towards protecting dogs and cats in underserved communities by vaccinating them for free.
As a preventive measure against rabies, we also intend neutering the dogs and cats in the community for free, which would be the first of its kind in Ghana. This aspect of the project will help curb the spread of rabies in Ghana by reducing stray dog populations. It is a collaboration between International Veterinary Students’ Association - Accra,  Ghana Private Veterinary Surgeons Association, Koney’s Veterinary Hospital, Rabies In West Africa(RIWA) and School of Veterinary Medicine University of Ghana.

The event will take place on Saturday, 27th September 2025 at 4 locations in Teshie:

Demo, Teshie Maami, Malik and Tribleo

Neutering will take place at Panado Veterinary Hospital - Teshie
