On 5th October, as a Centre of Excellence we held our Annual Free Rabies Vaccination Camp at Makadara Grounds in collaboration with KVA Coast Branch and Mombasa County Department of Veterinary Services, marking World Rabies Day.
The highlight of the day was our Kids Corner creating fun and educational rabies awareness for children through art, colouring, and crossword games with rabies-themed words. The children also learned how to recognise signs of a rabid dog and where to seek help.
This year, the team successfully vaccinated 309 animals i.e. 266 cats and 43 dogs: protecting both pets and their communities from this fatal yet 100% preventable disease.
