This is a project conducted in the shahuri community of Borno State. Before our Rabies campaign in the community, there were reports of cases of unprovoked dog bites in the community.
Our campaign focused on free Anti rabies Vaccination for dogs in the local community and awareness/Sensitization campaign on the risk Associated with rabies, Rabies prevention and first aid measures after dog bites.
We were able to vaccinate over 50 dogs and reach out to over 800 persons in the community including children.
