World Rabies Day 2025 By HEART

🐾 From Awareness to Action: HEART Observes World Rabies Day 2025

📅 Date: 28 September 2025
📍 Location: Cox’s Bazar District (Teknaf, Ukhiya, Moheshkhali, and surrounding communities)
Organized by: HEART – Humanitarian Enhancement Aid for Resilient Transformation

In alignment with the global call to eliminate rabies and promote the One Health approach, HEART is proud to observe World Rabies Day 2025 with the theme: “From Awareness to Action.” This campaign aims to raise community-level understanding of rabies prevention and take real steps toward eliminating rabies-related deaths in crisis-prone, underserved, and coastal areas.

Rabies continues to be a public health concern in Bangladesh, particularly in rural and disaster-affected zones where both human and animal healthcare systems are limited. Through this event, HEART will mobilize youth leaders, local authorities, health professionals, veterinarians, and community members to work collectively toward rabies prevention.

🔶 Key Activities Include:

  • Mass Awareness Campaigns in schools, colleges, and marketplaces

  • 🐶 Free Dog & Cat Rabies Vaccination Clinics in partnership with veterinary services

  • 🎨 Children’s Art and Essay Contests focused on rabies awareness and pet safety

  • 🧠 Interactive Community Sessions on bite prevention, first aid, and emergency response

  • 📣 Rally & Human Chain advocating for stronger policy and community-level action

  • 🎤 Dialogue Sessions featuring health workers, youth leaders, and animal health experts

🌍 Why This Matters:

World Rabies Day is not just about awareness—it’s about building lasting systems of protection for both people and animals. HEART’s event will empower communities to take informed action, reduce fear and stigma around rabies, and promote cooperation across sectors for a healthier, safer future.
