On September 13 (Saturday) and September 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Hualien County Animal and Plant Disease Control Center will hold the World Rabies Day 2025 Awareness Event at the Stone Sculpture Park in front of the Hualien County Government. The event features a variety of engaging activities, including free limited rabies vaccinations, game booths, quiz contests with prizes, government information sessions, a local specialty market, and a pet adoption area. Visitors are encouraged to bring their furry companions to enjoy a fun and educational experience that combines outdoor recreation with learning about animal protection and disease prevention.
At the on-site education booths, professional staff from the Center will provide one-on-one consultations. Through interactive games and prize quizzes, participants can easily learn the key principles of rabies prevention— “Don’t touch wild animals, don’t abandon pets, and do get regular vaccinations.” Many parents noted that learning through play helped children better understand these ideas, allowing them to remember the importance of “vaccinate to protect health” while having fun.
The Hualien County Animal and Plant Disease Control Center emphasized that World Rabies Day is not only a day of remembrance but also a crucial reminder that epidemic prevention requires constant vigilance. By hosting this family-friendly event, the Center aims to deepen public awareness of rabies prevention while creating warm and lasting community memories.
