GARC staff provided a virtual training session on the Rabies Vaccination Tracker (RVT) tool using the GARC App for 15 professionals working for "The Big Fix, Uganda" - a group of animal health professionals that provide free services in Northern Uganda including animal medical care, rabies vaccination clinics, spay and neutering and community outreach programs.
Rabies Elimination Progress
The Stepwise Approach towards Rabies Elimination (SARE) is a practical planning, monitoring and evaluation tool to guide, develop and refine rabies control programmes. It provides measurable steps, designed as a logical flow of activities, to progress from Stage 0 to Stage 5, in efforts towards freedom from dog-transmitted rabies.
A SARE score of 0.5 out of 5 signifies that situational rabies data is being collected and analysed for initiation of local-level intervention campaigns.
